Grace's Easy Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Grace's Easy Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Delicious, Easy, Made From Scratch Buttermilk Pie and other Buttermilk Desserts

This buttermilk pie recipe is a mouth-watering, traditional southern custard pie that you are sure to enjoy. The origin of this easy to make masterpiece is from Sister Grace, member of a church we pastored about 15 years ago. Sister Grace was well known as a fabulous cook, one of many in this southern Appalachian congregation. We developed strong ties with Grace's family, and I thought I would pass this great recipe along to the Squidoo readers. I dedicate this lens and the recipe to her memory.
If you like old fashioned, southern style, made from scratch cooking, and a yummy treat that will make you the center of attention, enjoy and use this recipe, along with other samplings of buttermilk dessert recipes I have included!

WHERE Does Your Sky-Line End?

WHERE Does Your Sky-Line End?

The story of Abram is a vividly detailed picture of the story of faith. It is a journey riveted with potholes, but leading from Abram, the would-be father, to Abraham, the father of a nation and of the Christian faith. Neither picture nor journey is static, but frame upon frame, it relates a tale which is quite like our own.

I see myself sitting with Abram in his tent (see Genesis 15). He is in such a dwelling place with the flap of his tent down. In the imagery of this chapter of Genesis, I can feel his darkness. He is shrouded in gloom; his murky place is thick and heavy with despair. Its pollution squeezes his lungs spiritually as much as any stench could possibly foul the air of a nomad’s dwelling. This is his universe; his life is an utter failure; the dark depression of this tent is a mirror of his dreams and aspirations. We can feel his experience, and it awakens within us, similar emotions of the low places of our life.

My Tribute To Jesus Christ

My Tribute To Jesus Christ

My personal Testimony!

A Glimpse of Jesus In The Bible! Christ, Man of History, Savior of the world!

Who is Jesus to me? Who is Jesus to you? This lens is my tribute to my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I know I can only scratch the surface, but if I make lenses for myself and Squidoo, I must make at least one completely dedicated to Jesus. Please read it as a part of my personal testimony.

Who is Jesus to me?

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!

He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!

He is the Architect of the universe, and The Manager of all times.

He always was, He always is, and He always will be... Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!

He was bruised and brought me healing!

He was pierced and eased my pain!

He was persecuted and brought me freedom!

He was dead and brought me life!

He is risen and brings me power over death and the grave!

He reigns as King of Kings and brings me Peace!

The world can't understand him, and their armies can't defeat Him,

The schools can't explain Him, but our leaders can't ignore Him.

Herod couldn't kill Him, the Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and the people couldn't hold Him!

Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him, the New Age can't replace Him, and neither Donahue, Rivera, nor Oprah can explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and my personal Lord.

All of the words above may not original with me, but it is all my testimony!

SnickerDoodle Christmas Teddy Bear Cookies

SnickerDoodle Christmas Teddy Bear Cookies

SnickerDoodle Christmas Teddy Bear Cookies Lots of Fun! Start a tradition!

Well, Christmas season is here! One of my wife's favorite sweets is the Snicker Doodle. My wife uses a recipe her mom gave her years ago, and we simply love it. She takes the dough and fashions it into teddy bears, and the kids love it, I admit that I do too! It combines the joy of play dough with the yummy of the cookie.

My children are grown, but my wife and I still enjoy tinkering with cookie treats for the season. I remember Barbara collecting our brood each holiday and making some sort of cookie delight. When else, can I say, "I am hungry enough to eat a bear!" This lens will take you through the whole process made from scratch starting with the dough to the eating of sweet Teddy! I am also throwing in many other snickerdoodle recipes, plus some other stuff you won't want to miss!
